Penerapan Algoritma Knuth Morris Pratt Terhadap Kelompok Bidang Keilmuan Mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Informatika

Abstract

The rapid development of technology makes it very easy for humans to innovate, one of which is website development innovation. The use of the website has now become one of the most powerful and effective data dissemination media. In the academic field, websites are not spared from monitoring, especially in the dissemination of information regarding scientific field groups of Informatics Engineering students at the Darmajaya Institute of Informatics and Business. The lack of accurate information to describe courses and specializations makes students still struggling to choose one of the three specializations. To explore insights into specializations, students need to know what specialization courses are available in the IIB Darmajaya informatics engineering department. To assist students in finding course names, a search is needed by matching patterns. The algorithm used in this study is the Knuth Morris Pratt (KMP) algorithm which is used in searching for specialization courses in the Informatics Engineering study program. This research uses the Waterfall software development method with the stages of communication, planning, modeling, construction, deployment. This research produced an output in the form of a website that aims to make it easier for students to find information in the form of course descriptions. This website is equipped with photos and also the names of lecturers which can make it easier for students to recognize lecturers in the Informatics Engineering study program, Darmajaya Institute of Informatics and Business.
