Abstract

Performance of the company is a major criterion in the assessment of business organizations in achieving the desired results in a gradual period of time.In a corporate environment has implemented supply chain management, collaboration between internal resources with external resourceshave led to the exchange of information flow, goods or services and the flow of money that everything requires an integrated transaction management.
This paper focuses on the strategic role of information technology both the application and use of information systems to support the activities of the supply chain management companyin order to improve the performance of the company. Some of the issues discussed in this paper is the importance of information technology in delivering benefits to the company,approach in the application, and development in the future. By applying information technology, the results of the description in this paper can provide a significant contribution to the company applying the supply chain-managementthe performance of companies in general, because the transaction management is an effective tool in providing corporate profits become a major part of the application of information technology.
