Penyusunan IT Master Plan SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Bintang Menggunakan TOGAF

Abstract

Developing information systems and information technology (IS/IT) has driven organizations to undertake integrated strategic planning of IS/IT aligned with business objectives. However at SMPN 1 Tanjung Bintang the utilization of IS/IT to support school operations still faces integration and suboptimal efficiency challenges. To address this, this research aims to develop a strategic planning blueprint for IS/IT using The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) ADM 9.1. This research adopts the TOGAF ADM approach, encompassing stages from the preliminary phase to migration planning. Following these stages, the strategic planning blueprint for IS/IT includes business architecture, data architecture, application architecture, technology architecture, and technology improvement proposals. This blueprint not only considers technical aspects but also integrates the school's business needs and strategies. Through the implementation of this blueprint, it is expected that the school can achieve better integration between its systems and business processes, resulting in increased efficiency. The blueprint provides a clear framework for optimizing the utilization of IS/IT, improving operational processes, and attaining long-term business goals. This research underscores the importance of planning and managing IS/IT architecture with a structured approach like TOGAF ADM. The resulting strategic planning blueprint for IS/IT can serve as a guide for SMPN 1 Tanjung Bintang in implementing changes and achieving competitive advantages through optimal utilization of IS/IT.
