Sistem Penjadwalan Skripsi Mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Informatika Menggunakan Algoritma Genetika Berbasis Website
Abstract
Thesis scheduling system is a system that utilizes information technology developments in the hope of helping and also facilitating the management of student data in registering for proposal and thesis seminars. Scheduling is found in the Informatics Engineering Department, Darmajaya Institute of Informatics and Business where the drafting process is still semi-computerized, where the department admin has to match the schedule, it is manually inputted into Microsoft Excel, so the possibility of errors and scheduling delays is often experienced. This study uses a genetic algorithm to find the value of each chromosome so that other schedule collisions do not occur. The application of the genetic algorithm requires several stages, namely building initial generations, fitness functions, selection, crossover, mutation so as to produce schedules that are more accurate with existing rules in a shorter time. The result of this research is a website-based thesis scheduling system.
