When going for the high notes keep your hands away from your body and raise them slightly also raise your chin upwards. This will help you fill your lungs to the maximum capacity and sound better.On the other hand when you go for the lower notes bring your arms close to your body move your chin downwards but make sure that it doesn't touch your chest because this will constrict your air flow and shut your voice.
