PENINGKATAN KINERJA MELALUI MODIFIKASI MOTIVASI YANG MELIBATKAN KEPEMIMPINAN DAN BUDAYA ORGANISASI PADA DOSEN PTS DI BANDAR LAMPUNG
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research aims to identify the effect of leadership and organizational culture on the performance of Private University lecturers in Bandar Lampung through intervening motivation variables. The type of the research is causality which examine the relationship of exogent variables (leadership and organizational culture) with endogent variable (lecturer performance) through motivation moderator variable. The research population is 352 lecturers and the number of the sample is 143 respondents using non-probability sampling technique and quota sampling method. The results of the research are leadership and organizational culture simultaneously give contribution equal to 37,44% to motivation. Leadership, organizational culture and motivation together contributes 52.42% to lecturer performance. Organizational culture has a more dominant effect in shaping motivation than leadership variables. This can be seen from the contribution of organizational culture in the form of motivation by 60% greater than the leadership of motivation which is only 12%. Simultaneously motivation has more dominant contribution to the performance of 48% greater than organizational culture on the performance which is only 47% and leadership is only -27%. This can be interpreted that the role of motivation is considered important as an intervening variable in shaping the performance of private university lecturers in Bandar Lampung.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindentifikasikan pengaruh kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja dosen Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS) di Bandar Lampung melalui variabel intervening motivasi. Jenis penelitian bersifat kausalitas yaitu menguji hubungan exogent variables (kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi) dengan endogent variable (kinerja dosen) melewati variabel moderator motivasi. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 352 orang dosen jumlah sampel 143 reponden menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling dan metode quota sampling. Hasil penelitian ditemukan kepemimpinan dan budaya organisasi secara simultan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 37,44% kepada motivasi. Kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi dan motivasi secara bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi sebesar 52,42% kepada kinerja dosen. Budaya organisasi memiliki pengaruh yang lebih dominan dalam membentuk motivasi dibandingkan dengan variabel kepemimpinan. Hal ini terlihat dari kontribusi budaya organisasi dalam membentuk motivasi sebesar 60% lebih besar dari kepemimpinan terhadap motivasi yang hanya sebesar 12%. Secara simultan motivasi lebih dominan berkontribusi terhadap kinerja sebesar 48% lebih besar dari budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja yang hanya 47% serta kepemimpinan yang hanya -27%. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa peran motivasi dinilai penting sebagai variabel intervening dalam membentuk kinerja dosen PTS di Bandar Lampung.
